Open Dialysis Project

Open access tools for managing Chronic Kidney Disease

What is Open Dialysis?

The Open Dialysis project is an open-source Integrated Care Platform for providing safe and affordable dialysis treatments for patients in low-resource settings. We are an interdisciplinary team of designers, engineers, nephrologists, and software developers from France, India, the United States and Senegal. We are developing open access point-of-care diagnostic tools, portable peritoneal dialysis machines, and digital tools for measuring patient outcomes. Building on the Open Source Medical Device momentum sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic, we envision a world where communities in need have local and open access to safe, affordable, and high-quality dialysis treatment care pathways.
